Patrick Cullen joined Rollins, Smalkin, Richards & Mackie, L.L.C. as a partner in 1982. His practice includes litigating large loss liability cases in the areas of general liability, worker's compensation and transportation.

Prior to joining RSR&M, Mr. Cullen served as a Judge Advocate General Officer in the U. S. Army from 1964 to 1967, prosecuting general court martials at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. He also was a partner at the law firm of Lerch and Huesman, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Mr. Cullen is a member of the American Bar Association and the Bar Association of Baltimore City. He has served on the Ethics Committee of the Bar Association of Baltimore City, and is a past President of the Maryland Defense Counsel, Inc.

In addition, Mr. Cullen has served on the Executive Council of the Association of Defense Trial Counsel (ADTA), a national association organized in 1941 to furnish legal and adjusting services to the insurance industry. Membership to ADTA is by invitation only, and is limited to one lawyer per metropolitan area, with exceptions. In addition to serving on the Executive Council, Mr. Cullen serves on the Publication Committee.

Mr. Cullen has also served on the Editorial Staff of the Notre Dame Lawyer, and regularly contributes to two publications of the Maryland Institute for Continuing Professional Education of Lawyer, Inc.

Mr. Cullen runs regularly and enjoys the game of golf. He and his wife show their golden retriever Riley at dog shows along the East Coast, and are members of the Potomac Valley Golden Retriever Club.

Mr. Cullen is active in his community, having coached Basketball in the Catonsville Recreation, Catholic Youth Organization, and Baltimore Neighborhood Basketball Leagues for ten years. He is also the past School Board President of the Archdiocese of Baltimore, and served on the Planning and Development Committee of the St. Mark School in Catonsville, MD for six years .
